History


This project was initiated by the Holdenville Industrial Authority (HIA) to stimulate the local economy. Opened in April 1996, the 960-bed medium security institution houses adult male inmates for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Four housing units, consisting of two pods each contain double-bunked cells. The 208,000 square-floor facility contains state of the art safety and security equipment, such as electronic controls and close-circuit television cameras and has exapanded.

CCA-DAVIS CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

Holdenville, Oklahoma

In March 2007, CCA Davis Correctional Facility celebrated its 11th Anniversary of facility operations in the Holdenville community. Opened in April 1996, the 960 bed medium security institution houses adult male inmates for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. In the spring of 2007 Davis C.F. expanded to include 50 additional minimum security beds, now housing approximately 1027 inmates on a daily basis. Davis C.F. will be expanding and building a maximum security unit to be completed August 2008 and will house over 660 male inmates.

CCA Davis C.F. encourages its employees to be actively involved in their communities with active membership in the Holdenville Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis, Lions Club, Rotary, several volunteer fire departments, Red Cross Disaster Team, volunteer storm watcher, Humane Society and numerous local civic clubs and activities. CCA Davis C.F. is committed to being a good corporate citizen, having contributed thousands of dollars in time, money, and resources to various local philanthropic needs. Typically employees donate over 2,000 hours of community services in programs such as Adopt-A-senior, quarterly facility blood drives, March of Dimes Walk-A-thon and American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Quality of Services

CCA Davis C.F. provides a comprehensive regiment of programs, designed to meet the rehabilitative needs of the inmates and promote their successful re-entry back into society. The facility provides substance abuse treatment, life skills and educational programs. Additionally, many inmates participate in various recreational and religious programs provided by facility staff and local volunteers. CCA Davis C.F. is owned and operated by Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. CCA specializes in the design, building and management of prisons, jails and detention facilities and providing inmate residential and prisoner transportation services in partnership with government. CCA has approximately 72,500 beds in 65 facilities, including 40 owned facilities, under contract for management in 19 states and the District of Columbia. The company manages more than 70,000 inmates including males, females and juveniles at all security levels and does business with all three federal corrections agencies, almost half of all states, and more than a dozen local municipalities.
